Rotterdam Global Urban Summit 2009

Conference success in terms of commitment
On the eve of the UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen, the City of Rotterdam hosted on 3 and 4 December a unique international conference on sustainable urban area development. For two days cities, scientists, experts and businesses discussed the best blueprint for cities. High profile international speakers like EU-adviser Jeremy Rifkin and toparchitect Winy Maas captured the hearts and minds of more than 400 delegates, of which 40% came outside the Netherlands.
On the last day the participants collectively undersigned a statement that they will co-create New Green Deals. These signatures will be presented to the Copenhagen summit to show that cities worldwide can really make the difference.

All those who registered, will receive via e-mail an invitation from the conference organisation to stay connected. Membership of the Linkedin Group ‘Rotterdam Global Urban Summit 2009’ enables you to download all relevant presentations, movies, pictures, and stay actively engaged in real time discussions.
